How do I request a Review?
My review policies are subject to change and exceptions, so read the policy carefully before you submit a request.
Where do you post your reviews?
The sites that I post my reviews to are amazon.com, Goodreads, and any other sites specifically requested. I post reviews on my Lydia Larue Facebook page, Lydia Larue Twitter account using #LLReviews, and this blog.
What is an ARC and do you accept it?
An Arc in this case refers to an Author Review Copy because I accept documents after a novel is released. I accept digital versions of an ARC in the following formats: .EPUB, .Mobi, and .PDF.
What is the FEE for the review?
All of my reviews are done FREE of charge and I only require that I receive a FREE ARC.
Do you do honest reviews?
All reviews that I post are honest and unbiased.
Do you review a specific genre?
I will review most any genre. I mainly read epic fantasy, romance, and Scifi. Please do not send me erotica or self-help guides to review, as I will decline to review it.
Do you respond to all requests?
I respond to all emails and review requests that I get within 72 hours. I also will let the author know that the review is finished and where it is posted.
Are all your reviews solicited from other authors?
No. Although my reviews are unbiased, I love to read. If I love the book, I will write a review for it on my blog, as well as the other places that I post my reviews.
What is your rating system?
My rating system is like many other sites:
✯✯✯✯✯(5 stars). I loved it, and I finished it in one setting. This book is one of my new favorites. It had no grammar mistakes, strong characters and plot, and was engaging the entire time.
✯✯✯✯(4 stars). I was entertained. The book was good, and I will most likely recommend it to my friends. However, something minor bothered me.
✯✯✯(3 stars) I liked it. However, it was nothing special. I did want to see what happened next and was interested, yet several things about it bothered me.
Anything less than 3 stars will not be posted. If I do not like the book, I will inform the author that I cannot review said novel.
What is the review time frame?
I will usually review a book within a 2 to 8 week time frame. It depends on how much of a backlog that I have, if I am currently working on any manuscripts, or any holidays (US) I am observing.
