If you have heard of mindfulness, perhaps read a bit about it, or even tried one of the popular coloring books, but have not experienced a significant change in stress level or happiness this book will help. It provides the perfect beginner's guide to implement mindfulness every day.
Ease of Understanding
There have been many times that I have said that I would love to go back to a simpler time, a time where things moved much slower than this high-pace world that we live in. Seeing as I do not have a time machine, a book like Mindfulness comes in handy. It is important that we have a way to cope with the insane amount of stress that we as a society go through.
I love the design of the cover. It seems to take a minimalist approach to design. This complements the concept of mindfulness nicely.
Mindfulness is novel designed around a 30-day challenge: a guide to change yourself. It promises that there will be a new challenge for every day of the month, as well as a description of said challenge. To get started with this self-help book, I would recommend keeping a journal to write down your reflections as Thompson does ask her reader to think upon aspects of the challenge.
