This week has been busy, to say the least. My daughter goes back to school in September, and I’ve been trying to get her ready for the 5th grade. To me, she’s growing up too fast.
When I do find time for myself, I spend it gaming and reading. My reading tastes have never really changed since I was a teenager. Growing up in a community where my sister and I were one of the only children, I often turned to books: Crichton and King, as well as others. I always love a spine-chilling tale, and that is why I looked forward to reading a sequel to a book that I already read.
Macabre Stories V. 2
Book Review: After reading and enjoying Macabre Stories V. 1, I was excited when I was contacted by the author that another volume of Macabre Stories had been published.
As with the first book in this series, I was drawn to the cover. I love a minimalist novel cover. There is something eye-catching about not having clutter in design. I would, however, pick a different image and font.
I found the anthology to be well-written, and the verbiage is easy to follow. Once I started to read it, I couldn’t put it down. Coria has a way with description. Certain passages of the novel made it feel as if I was right there with the characters.
I would recommend this to anyone who has read the first volume or anyone who loves scary short stories.
